Climbing road trips & expeditions that go further

Multi-week, multi-crag. Live, climb, improve non-stop. Our road trips and expeditions string together Europe's best rock climbing destinations — the limestone of Céüse, Siurana, Arco and Kalymnos among them — into single, continuous itineraries. No single-venue camp, no hotel shuttle: just a van, a rope, and weeks of uninterrupted climbing across the continent's classic sport climbing regions.

Who We Are

Climbers running trips for climbers

Rockbusters started as a van, a rope bag, and three guides who were tired of "climbing holidays" that meant one crag and a week of queuing for the same twelve routes. We build rock climbing road trips and expeditions the way we'd plan them for ourselves: point-to-point, multi-venue, and paced around the rock, the season, and the conditions — not a fixed resort.

Every trip on this page is led by an IFMGA-certified mountain guide or a qualified rock climbing instructor with first-hand route knowledge of every crag on the itinerary. We drive the vans, rack the gear, book the gîtes and refugios, and read the weather — so a group of strangers on day one is a rope team that trusts each other by the final send.

We cap every departure at ten climbers. Small enough that the guide knows your onsight grade by day three, big enough that there's always a belay partner and someone to share a beta video with over dinner.

What We Do

Three ways we get you on the rock

Road trips and expeditions are our whole category — no day trips, no single-venue camps. Every itinerary below moves through at least two climbing areas by road, boat, or trail.

01
Sport Climbing Road TripsMulti-crag itineraries through Europe's classic limestone belt — France, Spain, Italy, Greece. Vans, campsites or gîtes, and a guide who already knows which sector catches the shade at 2pm.
02
Big Wall & Alpine ExpeditionsPatagonia granite, Moroccan gorges, multi-pitch trad objectives. Longer approach, longer commitment, smaller teams — built for climbers moving from single-pitch to the big stuff.
03
Deep Water Solo & Island ExpeditionsMallorca, Croatia, and other boat-access Mediterranean and Adriatic limestone. Psicobloc by day, harbor towns by night — no rope, no rack, just a boat and a lot of chalk.

Flagship Expedition · 2026 Departure

ROCK & ROAD: The European Sport Climbing Tour 2026

Our signature expedition strings together the four crags every sport climber puts on their list: the tufas of Céüse, the steep pockets of Siurana, the granite slabs of Arco, and the stalactite roofs of Kalymnos. Eight weeks, one van convoy, zero repeated crags — this is the deepest, most complete rock climbing road trip we run all year, and the one our guides plan their own season around.

Frequently Asked

Before you book a road trip or expedition

What grade do I need to climb to join?

Our sport climbing road trips generally suit climbers comfortable leading 6a/5.10a and above. Expeditions and big wall trips ask for prior multi-pitch or trad experience — each trip page lists the exact requirement, and our guides are happy to talk it through before you book.

Is gear included?

Ropes, quickdraws, and group safety gear are always included. Personal kit — harness, shoes, helmet — is yours to bring, though we can arrange rental at most departure points.

How is a road trip different from a single-venue camp?

A camp keeps you at one crag for the whole trip. Every itinerary in this category moves between at least two climbing areas by van, boat, or trail — more rock types, more route styles, and a genuine sense of a journey rather than a base camp.

Why do some trips run as a lottery?

Expeditions with limited permits or small group ceilings — Patagonia and Morocco included — open as a lottery 90 days before departure so access stays fair rather than first-come. Everyone entered gets a result either way.
