Real Rock, eight destinations
Sandstone to Tufa
& Everything Between
No stock photos, no staged sends — just climbers earning it across eight of Europe's finest crags.
The Rock-Type Completionist
You want to leave Europe having actually climbed on sandstone, limestone, granite, conglomerate, and tufa — not just heard other people talk about it. Eight weeks does that.
The Van-Life Curious
You've watched the videos, you've dreamed about the nomadic climbing life, and you finally have two months free. This is the structured version of that fantasy, with actual coaching attached.
The Community Seeker
You'd rather climb alongside a crew that becomes genuinely close over eight weeks than bounce between solo trips and random gym partners. This tour is built around exactly that.

Bohemia to the Pyrenees
The Route
Starting in Prague, the tour tracks west and south through Germany, Austria, Italy, France (twice), and finally Spain — roughly the shape of a slow, deliberate arc across the continent's best sport climbing.
The itinerary is sequenced for conditions, not convenience: sandstone and pockets while it's cooler up north, alpine granite in late summer, then Mediterranean sun-chasing as autumn sets in across France and Spain.

What Past Climbers Say
One past Rock & Road climber credits Jan and the crew with pushing her far beyond what she thought her limits were — and with turning a summer spent climbing across Europe into one of the most meaningful experiences of her life.
I signed up thinking I wanted better climbing. I left with better climbing, a completely different relationship with discomfort, and five people I now consider family.
Eight weeks, eight rock types, one van. I went in a 6c climber and came out able to actually read what a route was asking of me, wherever I was. That's the real upgrade.
Accommodation & Logistics
We Sorted the Boring Bits
Accommodation
Varies by leg — mostly hostel or campsite bungalows with bunk beds, permanent caravans in Gorges du Tarn, and a proper campsite with hot showers in Céüse. Always basic, always integrated into the local climbing scene.
Getting There

FAQ
Common Questions
Do I have to book all 8 weeks?
No — every leg works as a standalone week. This page is for climbers who want the entire route booked as one continuous trip, with everything (including inter-leg transport) sorted in advance.
What level do I need to be?
You should be comfortable leading 6b indoors or 6a outdoors. The tour spans a wide grade range across eight very different rock types, so there's always something to work on, whatever your current level.
Do I need my own gear?
Bring climbing shoes and a harness you trust. We provide belay devices, helmets, and most safety gear, but a belay device, 2 screw-gate carabiners, and a 60cm sling are handy to have of your own. Full kit list sent once you book.
Is food included?
Food arrangements and any included meals are confirmed before departure.
What if a leg doesn't reach 3 participants?
We need a minimum of 3 participants to run any given leg. If numbers don't add up for a specific week, we'll offer an equivalent (or better) alternative, or a full refund for that portion. No hard feelings.
Where do I fly in and out of?
Fly into Prague for the start of the tour, and out of Barcelona at the end. If you're only booking individual weeks, each leg has its own nearest airport listed on its page.
