PROJECT ESPAÑA 2027

Sella sits at the foot of the imposing Sella Peña (1,100m), a Costa Blanca village of just 650 people where steep limestone cliffs rise dramatically above narrow streets. It's the perfect on-ramp into a month of Spanish climbing — generous pocketing, short approaches, and routes across every level.
Work technical face climbing at Pared de Rosalía, push into the overhangs at Techo del Rino, and let your coach calibrate exactly where your climbing actually stands before the trip gets more demanding.
Seven days building the foundation — technique, partnerships, and the rhythm of climbing days and relaxed village evenings — that the next three weeks will build on.

Arturo Aparicio

Arturo found climbing after years of surfing in Tenerife, and never looked back. These days he lives out of his van around Sella, chasing new projects and knowing the local sectors better than almost anyone — exactly who you want setting the foundation for a month in Spain.

What Past Climbers Say
Sella was the perfect place to shake off the rust before three more weeks of harder terrain. The village itself was half the charm.
Short approaches meant more actual climbing time than any trip I'd done before. Arturo had us dialed into the right sectors within a day.
650 people, one bakery, incredible pockets. I've never wanted to move somewhere this badly after a single week.

Previous outdoor sport climbing experience is expected, with a minimum lead grade of indoor 6a or outdoor 5. Suitable for women and men aged 15 and up; physical intensity is medium to high.
Do I need my own gear?
Bring climbing shoes and a harness you trust. We provide belay devices, helmets, and slings, plus a full kit list once you book (down jacket, headlamp, sleeping bag, approach shoes).
Is food included?
Food arrangements and any included meals are confirmed before departure.
Can I continue on to the rest of the trip afterward?
Absolutely — that's exactly how this leg is designed. Book any of the remaining weeks individually, or upgrade to the full 4-week Project España.
What if fewer than 3 people book?
We need a minimum of 3 participants to run this leg. If numbers don't add up, we'll offer an equivalent (or better) alternative, or a full refund. No hard feelings.
