Céüse isn't a crag you stumble into — you earn it. A legendary 45-minute uphill approach serves as both warm-up and penance, rewarding you with what a lot of very opinionated climbers consider the finest limestone on the planet.
The 300-metre blue-gray cliff band is a technical masterclass: delicate crimps, perfect pockets, subtle sidepulls, and the occasional water-sculpted tufa that will humble anyone who thinks "technical" is a synonym for "easy."
Seven days working classic testpieces beneath lavender-scented hills, evenings spent with local wine, cheese, and baguettes back at camp — because France insists on doing suffering beautifully.

Accommodation & Logistics

Accommodation
We stay at a campsite with hot showers, wifi, and an on-site restaurant. We provide the tents — you'll need your own sleeping bag and foam pad.
Getting There
Fly into Marseille. Local transport is organised via shared rental cars or shuttles once you land — no navigating French mountain roads solo.
Gear
Bring your own climbing shoes and harness. We provide belay devices, helmets, and most safety gear, but pack a belay device, 2 screw-gate carabiners, and a 60cm sling if you have your own preferences.
Group Size
Minimum 3 climbers to run the trip. Small enough for real coaching, never a crowd-control exercise.

Common Questions
What level do I need to be?
You should be comfortable leading 6b indoors or 6a outdoors. Céüse rewards technical precision and patience over raw power — if you're strong but want to sharpen your sequencing, you'll fit right in.
Do I need my own gear?
Bring climbing shoes and a harness you trust. We provide belay devices, helmets, and most safety gear, but a belay device, 2 screw-gate carabiners, and a 60cm sling are handy to have of your own. Full kit list sent once you book (down jacket, headlamp, sleeping bag, foam pad).
Is food included?
Food arrangements and any included meals are confirmed before departure.
What if fewer than 3 people book?
We need a minimum of 3 participants to run this leg. If numbers don't add up, we'll offer an equivalent (or better) alternative trip, or a full refund. No hard feelings.
Can I join more than one week of the tour?
Absolutely — that's the whole idea. Book the full 8-week Rock & Road Tour at the current full-tour price and follow the sun (and the sends) across eight destinations.
Where do I fly in and out of?
Marseille Provence Airport, for both arrival and departure.
