About This Camp

Granite Summer, Serious Progress

Cavallers sits high in the Spanish Pyrenees — a granite valley with sport routes and boulders, and the perfect classroom for young climbers ready to move from indoor walls to real rock.

This camp is built for teens who already climb seriously — at least six months of consistent climbing and comfortable on 6a — and want structured coaching on technique, movement and bouldering, with video feedback to break through plateaus.

Coached by Pol Palau Serrano, a Pyrenees-based high-performance guide and three-time Spanish Youth Champion, together with Petra and Jan. Evenings bring strategy sessions, recovery techniques and climbing film nights.

Who Should Show Up

Built for Serious Young Climbers

01

The Gym-Strong Teen

Solid indoors and comfortable on 6a, but real rock still feels like a different sport. Two weeks of coached outdoor mileage closes that gap.

02

The Plateaued Young Climber

Training hard but stuck at the same grade. Video analysis and personal feedback show what you can't feel yourself.

03

The Future Competitor

Performance-focused and hungry for structure. Training methods built on competitive climbing principles, applied on granite.

The Coaching

Three Skills Worth the Trip

01

Technique

  • Advanced movement, balance & problem-solving
  • Single-pitch sport technique from 6a to 7c
  • Progressive bouldering — strength, flexibility, body position
  • Footwork on granite slabs and cracks
  • Video assessment of your movement
02

Mental Game

  • Breaking plateaus with personalised feedback
  • Pushing limits in a supportive, progression-focused group
  • Redpoint and onsight mindset
  • Managing nerves on outdoor lead
  • Setting goals that last beyond camp
03

Tactics

  • Self-rescue techniques and advanced safety systems
  • Outdoor risk awareness and lead belaying
  • Strategy sessions — planning your attempts
  • Recovery between climbing days
  • Structured training from competition climbing

The Venue

Cavallers is a granite climbing area in the Vall de Boí, high in the Catalan Pyrenees, with sport routes, trad and multi-pitch lines and boulders spread around the valley.

The rock rewards exactly what this camp teaches — precise footwork on slabs, crack and overhang movement, and bouldering power — on routes picked for intermediate and advanced young climbers.
