Mallorca isn't just a good spot for deep water soloing — it's basically where the sport went mainstream, home to legendary lines climbed by names like Chris Sharma. You're not visiting a DWS destination. You're visiting the DWS destination.
Boat access gets you to secret crags most climbers never see, seven days of movement and mental-game coaching, and exactly zero crash pads standing between you and the sea.

The Confident Outdoor Leader
You lead 6a/6b outside without blinking. DWS asks you to do the same thing again, except this time nothing's catching you but water.
The Fearless (Or Fear-Curious) Swimmer
Strong swimmer, comfortable in open water, and ready to find out what climbing feels like when the safety net is literally the sea.
The Aesthete
You climb partly for how it feels. Nothing strips the sport down to its purest form quite like soloing above the Mediterranean.

The Venue
The undisputed world capital of deep water soloing. Warm limestone sea cliffs rise straight out of the Mediterranean, made famous when Chris Sharma sent the iconic Es Pontàs arch in 2007 — a "king line" potentially as hard as 9a+/b.
On overcast or rough-sea days, we shift to Mallorca's growing network of recently bolted sport crags — secret spots rarely featured in any guidebook, keeping the week varied whatever the weather does.

What Past Climbers Say
One past participant, Alex, described the course as a genuine turning point — crediting the coaching for a level of confidence on the rock he'd never felt before, and calling the locations simply unforgettable.
I've climbed for years and never felt anything like the first time I actually committed to a move above the water with no rope. Terrifying. Immediately addictive.
Boat access to crags I'd never have found on my own, genuinely useful coaching on landings and falls, and a swim break built into every single climb. Best week of the year.

FAQ
Common Questions
What level do I need to be?
You should be a confident outdoor climber leading 6a/6b or higher, and just as importantly, a strong and confident swimmer comfortable in open water.
Do I need my own gear?
Bring the Deep Blue kit: 2+ pairs of climbing shoes, liquid chalk, a dry bag, and snorkeling goggles. We also recommend packing sport-climbing backup gear (harness, helmet, chalk bag, belay device) in case we swap to land-based crags on rough days.
Is food included?
Food arrangements and any included meals are confirmed before departure.
What if the sea's too rough for DWS?
We switch to Mallorca's excellent, lesser-known sport crags for the day. The island has plenty of world-class climbing beyond the coastline, so a rough sea doesn't mean a wasted day.
Can I book a longer stay?
Yes — a combined 2-week option covering both autumn dates (26 Sep – 10 Oct) is available for current listed price. See the full calendar above for all dates.
Where do I fly in and out of?
Palma de Mallorca Airport, for both arrival and departure.
