The Venue
Mallorca is not a one-discipline island. Alongside its well-known sport climbing and deep-water soloing, the approved sources confirm real bouldering, trad and multi-pitch climbing as well - something the previous version of this page left out entirely.
The west coast Serra de Tramuntana and the inland/east-coast crags carry most of the sport mileage. Deep-water soloing runs along the sea cliffs, especially on the east coast, with warm-water conditions in September-October rated by theTopo as the best DWS window of the year. Trad climbing is concentrated on the sea cliffs of the Formentor peninsula and Cap de Llamp, documented by UKClimbing in UK adjectival grades rather than French/UIAA.
A rental car and a flexible week are the right plan: Mallorca is small enough to move between coasts in a day, but varied enough that orientation and season make a real difference to which discipline works best.

How much swimming is involved?
You will swim out from the boat or shore to most starts (5–50m) and swim back after each fall. Be a confident swimmer in open water — fins are provided.
