There's nothing like learning from the best. Klemen Bečan is known for onsight climbing, new-routing and his ability to pull off extremely technical moves — and he was the first to climb some of the world's hardest sport routes, including Joe Mama (9a+/5.15a), plus a long list of very hard boulders.
SEND LAB follows the traditional Rockbusters masterclass format. Klemen leads as head coach while our experienced team makes sure everyone climbs as much as they can and gets all the coaching they need — under Rodellar's limestone arches.
You'll spend plenty of time on the rock, listen to short informal talks from Klemen, and have your climbing filmed so you can break the footage down together. The aim: push your grade on the trip and leave knowing how to keep progressing long after it.

You've been stuck at the same grade for a while. Breaking down your movement patterns and attitude with Klemen is the fastest way through.

Rodellar, Spain

The Venue
Rodellar is the steep, overhanging capital of Spanish sport climbing — tufas, caves and pockets on long, pumpy pitches in the Mascún canyon, inside the Sierra y Cañones de Guara natural park.
Overhanging caves and arches are where drop knees, heel hooks and smart resting pay off most, while the slabbier walls carved by the Mascún river cover the balance and footwork side of the clinic.

Your Coaching Team
World-Class Coaches
CEO, Head Coach
Jan Novotny
Eastern European on the outside, social worker on the inside. Jany will shout "again" until you send, then shed tears when you do.
Founder & Head Coach
Rockbusters' founder and head coach, with 25+ years on rock. Jan traded a career in social work for a life of pushing climbers past their limits — technically and mentally. He runs SEND LAB alongside Klemen so everyone climbs as much as they can and gets the coaching they need.
Pablo Ruiz Seco
Meet guideCoach
Based in Reinosa, Cantabria, Pablo has climbed since he was 14 — alpine, trad, ice and bouldering, but above all sport climbing. His record runs from the Matterhorn and Aiguille Verte to the Comici route on the Cima Grande di Lavaredo and the west face of Naranjo de Bulnes, and he has spent whole summers climbing in Rodellar.
Klemen Becan
Meet guideHead Coach
A former world youth champion who won the 2008 World Cup in Kranj, Klemen has always put rock first. Onsighting is his favourite thing — his first 8b+ onsight came in 2004, and he made the onsight first ascent of Siempre se Puede Hacer Menos (8c). He was also the first to climb Joe Mama (9a+/5.15a). His coaching is all about balance and movement.

FAQ
Common Questions
What level do I need to be?
We welcome intermediate to expert climbers. To get the most out of the clinic you should lead 6b comfortably. This is performance coaching and our goal is to push your limits, so be ready to get out of your comfort zone.
Do I need my own gear?
Bring reasonably tight climbing shoes and a harness. We have belay devices, slings and helmets, but you can bring your own. We also suggest a down jacket, hat, rain jacket, approach shoes, headlamp, sleeping bag and a backpack big enough for lunch and gear.
Is food included?
No — food is self-catering, and supplies can be bought any time during the week.
What if not enough people book?
If the clinic can't run, we'll offer you an equivalent (or better) alternative, or a full refund. No hard feelings.
Can I book just one week?
Yes — each week runs individually at €1,050, or book both weeks for €1,850. See the dates above for all options.
Where do I fly in and out of?
Barcelona, for both arrival and departure. Transport isn't included, and a car is necessary to reach Rodellar.
