Albarracín is what happens when a pine forest is filled with rounded orange sandstone and left alone for a few thousand years — slopers, compression, roofs and slabs, most of it under five metres, all of it on landings that forgive you.
Six climbing days a week with a coach on the pads, covering everything from reading a sloper to building a redpoint plan — whatever is actually holding your bouldering back. Video analysis included, and the sector is picked each morning for the conditions.
Small enough ratios (max 7:1) that nobody gets lost in the group, and a medieval hill town a few minutes away for the rest day. October and November are the best months of the year here.

The Gym-to-Rock Boulderer
Three months of regular indoor sessions and you're ready. Real rock asks different questions than plastic, and Font 3–5 here is the friendliest place in Europe to start answering them.
The Font 5–7a Climber
The sweet spot. This is where Albarracín has its greatest density of quality problems — every angle, every sector, more good lines in your grade than you can tick in two weeks.
The Solo Traveler Who Wants a Crew
Groups run from 3 to 12 with a maximum of seven per coach. You show up alone, you leave with people to climb with, pads to land on and someone who knows how to spot.

- Reading rounded sandstone: slopers, compression and pinches
- Movement skills & efficient footwork on featured slabs

Albarracín, Spain

The Venue
Spain's premier bouldering venue — over 1,600 problems on orange sandstone scattered through an ancient pine forest, right below one of the country's most beautiful medieval towns. Most boulders sit under five metres, with forgiving pine-needle landings.
More than thirty sectors sit inside a compact area you can walk between in a day, from the 300-problem spread of El Arrastradero to the steep roofs of La Cueva — so there is always a sector with the right angle, the right shade and the right grade.

FAQ
Common Questions
What level do I need to be?
At least three months of regular indoor climbing or bouldering. Previous outdoor bouldering experience is not needed — complete beginners work on movement basics right alongside climbers projecting hard problems. Open to women and men, ages 15 and up. Physical intensity is high.
Do I need my own gear?
Bring climbing shoes, a chalk bag and a brush. We provide the crash pads and climbing safety equipment, and send a full kit list once you book (down jacket, hat, rain jacket, approach shoes, headlamp, sleeping bag and a backpack for crag days).
Is food included?
No. Breakfast and lunch are self-catered — there is a shop stop on the way in and the accommodation has a kitchen and fridge. Albarracín has plenty of restaurants for dinner, and communal dinners can be arranged for around €10.
What if fewer than 3 people book?
We need a minimum of 3 participants to run the trip. If numbers don't add up, we'll offer an equivalent (or better) alternative trip, or a full refund. No hard feelings.
Can I book just one week?
Yes — the trip is listed as two weeks, but single weeks are available. Ask us for the weekly rate on your date and tell us which week you want.
Where do I fly in and out of?
Valencia Airport (VLC), for both arrival and departure — about 2h45 by road via the A-3 and N-420. Madrid is roughly 3 hours and Zaragoza about 2.
