I climb to feel alive

Adam was onsighting 7b+ at eight and redpointed his first 9a at thirteen. Then it got serious. In 2012 he made the first ascent of Change in Flatanger, the first 9b+ in the world. In 2017, in the same Norwegian cave, he climbed Silence, the first route proposed at 9c. In 2018 he became the first person to flash a 9a+ (Super Crackinette). In between he visited Yosemite and made the second free ascent of the Dawn Wall in eight days.

On plastic he is just as awkward for the competition: four lead world titles, one boulder world title, and in 2014 both in the same year. He has won the World Cup overall in both lead and bouldering. Since 2013 his training has been written by fellow Rockbusters coach Patxi Usobiaga.
