Is Slovenia just sport climbing?

No — the Karst coast is sport-climbing country, but the Julian Alps around Triglav have genuine alpine trad and multi-pitch climbing on routes up to 1000m, a completely different trip.

How many routes does Slovenia have?

A 2025 guidebook cites 113 crags and 6,500+ routes nationwide; theCrag's current database shows 6,791 routes across 18 regions. An earlier '3,100+ routes / 32 areas' figure on this page didn't match any approved source and has been corrected.

What's the hardest route at Mišja Peč?

Sources disagree — theCrag states 9b, Mountain Project caps it at 9a. Both are reported here rather than picking one.

Which airport should I fly into?

Trieste, Italy, is closest for Osp and Mišja Peč; Ljubljana is 1–2 hours away and more practical if you're also headed to the Julian Alps.
