Is Costa Blanca just Calpe?

No. Penon de Ifach at Calpe is the most famous single objective, but the region includes Sella (its largest sport crag), Toix, Bernia, Ponoig, Echo Valley, Guadalest, Alcoy and dedicated bouldering/deep-water-soloing venues.

How many routes are there?

It depends on the source: thecrag.com's database totals 6,276 routes, while Climb Europe's guidebook estimates 4,000-4,800 across 50-56 crags. Mountain Project's database is far less complete (383) and isn't used for aggregate counts.

Do I need a permit to climb Penon de Ifach?

Yes -- a free permit is required, capped at roughly 300 visitors per day, with the North Face closed 1 April-30 June for bird nesting.

Is bouldering available?

Yes, at venues including Montessa, Olta, Denia/Les Rotes, Villajoyosa, and a deep-water-soloing venue at Morira -- but no approved source publishes grades for them.
