Introduction

Cavallers is a real, named granite climbing area, but it is only moderately documented across our approved sources, and several figures on the previous version of this page do not hold up. The old page quoted a flat "1,000 routes / 1,000 problems" -- no approved source supports either number. theCrag.com, the richest source available, totals 753 routes crag-wide (including 107 boulder problems across four boulder areas); UKClimbing's logbook counts only 367; thetopo.com documents fewer still. We report these as sourced ranges rather than round numbers.

The area sits in three parts: sport-bolted sectors around the dam (Sota la presa, Dreta de la presa, Esquerra de la presa), a small traditional-climbing zone at Comalestorres, and four named boulder areas (El Bosc, El Prat, Paritori, La Llosa).

History

There is very little documented history for Cavallers on approved sources. theCrag's own crag page states plainly that it "does not have a description." The only concrete item found is a guidebook: "Roca Caliente En Los Pirineos - Hot Rock in the Pyrenees" (2020, Luis Alfonso), which covers 13 climbing areas around El Pont de Suert including Cavallers (referenced on both thecrag.com and ukclimbing.com). No first-ascent or development history was found.
