About This Course

Where Tufas Teach Patience

Kalymnos is basically what happens when a Greek island decides to be made entirely of climbable limestone — steep walls, hanging tufas, and stalactite features that turn every route into a three-dimensional puzzle.

Two weeks of daily coaching from Sergi and Miha, covering everything from proper belaying and clipping tactics to redpoint mindset and overhang technique — whatever's actually holding your climbing back.

Small enough group ratios (max 7:1) that you're never just another face in the crowd, big enough energy that the evenings are just as memorable as the days.

Who Should Show Up

Built for the Gym-to-Crag Gap

01

The Gym-to-Crag Climber

You're comfortable indoors at 6a, but outdoor leading still feels like a completely different sport. Guided outdoor mileage fixes that gap fast.

02

The Plateaued Climber

Technically fine but stuck at the same grade for way too long. Sometimes it just takes someone watching you climb to see what you can't.

03

The Solo Traveler Who Wants a Crew

Courses run up to 8 people. You show up alone, you leave with a climbing family and several new trip plans already half-booked.

The Coaching

Three Skills Worth the Trip

01

Technique

  • Choosing & caring for gear that keeps you safe
  • Movement skills & efficient footwork
  • Perfect balance over your centre of gravity
  • Overhang tricks: drop knee, flagging, heel & toe hooks
  • Cleaning anchors — keeping all your gear
02

Mental Game

  • Basic understanding of outdoor risks
  • Climbing calls & communication that get your message across
  • Redpoint & onsight approach to new climbs
  • Personalized coaching to break through mental barriers
  • Video analysis to see what you can't feel
03

Tactics

  • Belaying & lead belaying, catching falls dynamically
  • Setting up top-ropes
  • Clipstick timing & pre-clipping the first draw
  • Tufa & pocket-specific movement reading
  • Long-term progression beyond the trip

Kalymnos, Greece

Kalymnos4.jpg

The Venue

A small Dodecanese island that quietly became one of Europe's best sport climbing destinations — steep grey limestone dripping with tufas and stalactites, set right above a genuinely turquoise Aegean.

Routes here reward technical, three-dimensional movement over raw power, with a huge spread of grades packed into a small area — ideal for a course built around real, measurable progression.

What Past Climbers Say

I'd been stuck at the same grade for two years. Two weeks with Sergi and I finally understood what my feet were supposed to be doing. Embarrassingly simple fix, huge difference.

Came alone, left with a group chat that's still active a year later and three trips already planned. The climbing was great. The people were the real upgrade.

Miha's video analysis showed me things about my climbing nobody had ever pointed out before. I onsighted my project route on the second-to-last day.
