Had your eyes on some difficult, long rock climbs, but you haven’t had the chance to pull it off yet? Leave it to the experts to get you on the routes of your dreams. In this course led by UIAGM guide Pablo Ruiz Seco, and pro-climber Edu Marin, you will learn everything you need to know to tackle hard multi-pitch climbs. 

 

Seco was a past member of the Spanish Youth Alpine Team and has opened routes in the Himalayas. Klemen Becan has done some of the hardest multi-pitch routes around, some of them he has bolted himself and made the first ascent. This team of experts will show you the best practices for safely approaching hard multi-pitch climbs.

Physical & technical requirements:

 

  • Previous outdoor sport climbing experience is needed min. RP grade 6b/6c. Experience with multi-pitch is highly recommended
  • Suitable for women and men, children from 15 years
  • The course can be purchased by individuals, couples, couples, or groups of friends
  • Physical intensity: high

All skills and tricks needed to become an independent and self-confident climber who push it hard on multi-pitch routes such as:

  • Rope management and handling
  • Abseils and retreats for returning to the ground

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

reasonalby tight climbing shoes / harness / helmet / belay device / 2 screw gate carabiners / 60cm sling

We provide all the gear, but you will need to bring your own reasonably tight climbing shoes and harness. We have belay devices, slings, and helmets, but you might prefer to bring your own. We strongly suggest bringing a down jacket, a hat, a rain jacket, a pair of comfortable approach shoes, a headlamp, a sleeping bag, and a backpack big enough for carrying lunch and gear to the crag. 

FOOD

Upon arrival, before you get to the place of your final destination you will need to stop in the store to shop for breakfast and lunch food for the week. There is equipped kitchen with a refrigerator in the place and close by shops to replenish supplies.

There are plenty of restaurants and bars to have dinner. Communal dinners can be organized if required.
