Every year we’re driving across the continent, stopping at the most iconic sport climbing crags. You can focus on climbing as much as possible, while experiencing the freedom of the ultimate climbing road trip.
Frankenjura is the perfect sport climbing destination for your summer holidays. There are more than 8000 bolted climbs spread across a thousand small crags in and around the area. The walls are hidden in picturesque and peaceful forests which provide respite from the summer sun. Frankenjura offers climbs of all grades, from the very easiest to the very hardest. The typical Frankenjura climb is full of one or two-finger pockets, combined with small huecos and crimps. It takes a lot of finger strength and good power endurance. If you prefer crimps and ledges, sectors such as Student will cater to your tastes.
This trip is an ideal choice for climbers looking to refresh their sport climbing safety skills, master the leading technique and improve their overall rock climbing performance.
Physical & technical requirements
For the Rockbusters team climbing is not just a sport, it’s what we eat, drink, breathe and sleep - it’s what we live for. Our Sport Climbing Courses amd Climbing Road Trips give you the opportunity to get a taste of what we mean and become part of our climbing crew.
The main focus of our Sport Climbing Courses and Road Trips is to provide great quality climbing, so it’s aimed at climbers with some experience. We are not pushing fit and motivated beginners away though. Rockbusters guides and coaches will provide all necessary coaching and go through all safety and technical details so everyone is able to do as much climbing as possible and enjoy climbing with each other. We make sure to push you enough so you achieve more during your stay, arming you with all the necessary techniques and safety measures before you try anything new.
During the time you will spend with us we will turn you into a confident leader of any sport climbing routes and make you a better climber overall no matter your current grade or level. Our professional guides and coaches will show you all the sport climbing tricks you may use to stay safe and to be happily trying routes beyond your comfort zone.
As well as building confidence, strength and taking on some tough climbs, this is a Rockbusters course, so you can also expect a hefty dose of fun! We love what we do and that really comes across in all of our trips and programmes. And… we like to party almost as much as we like to climb, so get ready to have a blast on and off the rock. The informal, fun atmosphere of our courses is famous, but we never let this distract us from your climbing progression.

Upon arrival we will take you to the store to shop for breakfast and lunch food for the week. Refrigerators are provided by the campsite, and we will return to the store once more during the week to replenish supplies.
