Stop chasing random mileage and start hunting milestones. If you’ve been stuck at the gates of the 7s or staring down your first 8a, a standard week-long holiday isn't going to cut it. To break through, you need total immersion, focused coaching, and time to let the muscle memory sink in. Welcome to PROJECT X.
We’re taking over Rodellar—the steep, overhanging capital of Spanish sport climbing—for two weeks of relentless redpointing, remote work, and deep-dive coaching. With 10 to 12 full climbing days, you’ll have the luxury of time: time to blow a redpoint burn, dial the micro-beta, rest your skin, analyze the video, and ultimately clip the chains on the hardest route of your life.
By day, you’ll be firing or belaying under the massive limestone arches of the Mascún canyon. In the afternoons and rest days, you’ll plug into your laptop, crush your remote work, and recharge your body. It’s a dedicated ecosystem designed for one specific outcome: sending.
This camp is about moving past "just climbing" and mastering the specific tactics needed to crush routes at—and beyond—your current limits. Over two weeks, we will break down and rebuild your approach to hard sport climbing:
Project Selection & Strategy: Learn how to analyze your specific strengths and weaknesses to pick the perfect line, mapping out a bulletproof campaign to send it.
Beta Breakdown & Sequencing: Stop wasting energy. We’ll show you how to section a route, unlock the optimal sequences for your height and style, and link complex moves efficiently.
The Technical Arsenal: Dial in advanced, three-dimensional movement—including drop-knees, aggressive heel/toe hooks, flagging, and the precise kneebar tactics essential for surviving Rodellar’s steep limestone.
Precision Footwork & Core Tension: Refine your center of gravity, learn to trust microscopic footholds on steep terrain, and keep your body tension high when the pump sets in.
The Mental Game & Headwork: Master the art of razor-sharp focus, learn how to handle the inevitable frustration of the redpoint process, and break through the mental barriers holding you back from the send.
Tactical Safety & Efficiency: Perfect the use of clip-sticks and pre-clipping tactics to manage risk and save energy on hard starts.
Dynamic Belaying & Fall Management: Refine advanced lead belaying, master the art of the soft catch, and learn how to safely take and manage high-consequence falls on steep terrain.
Performance Gear Optimization: Get expert insight into selecting, utilizing, and maintaining high-performance gear tailored for maximum safety and efficiency on hard redpoint burns.
Minimum of 3 participants. In other cases, we will offer different trips/courses of the same or higher value or issue a full refund.
reasonably tight climbing shoes, harness, helmet, belay device, screw gate carabiner
We provide most of the gear, but you will need to bring your own climbing shoes and harness. We have belay devices, slings, and helmets, but you might prefer to bring your own you use to. We strongly suggest bringing a down jacket, a hat, a rain jacket, a pair of comfortable approach shoes, a headlamp, a sleeping bag, and a backpack big enough for carrying lunch and gear to the crag.
