Join Rockbusters for an unforgettable week of sport climbing in the spectacular Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its dramatic limestone peaks and world-class climbing routes. Based in the charming towns of Cortina d’Ampezzo and Val Gardena, this climbing holiday offers access to hundreds of high-quality sport routes on some of the most beautiful rock formations in Europe.
The Dolomites offer an incredible diversity of climbing experiences, from single-pitch sport routes perfect for beginners to challenging multi-pitch adventures for the more experienced. With an average of 21 days of sunshine per month during summer, the Dolomites provide reliable climbing conditions in a breathtaking alpine setting.

Day 1: Arrival & Welcome
Arrival in Cortina d’Ampezzo, welcome dinner, and trip briefing. Equipment check and discussion of individual goals and experience levels.
Days 2-3: Cortina Area Climbing
Climb at the best crags around Cortina, including Cinque Torri and other accessible sport climbing areas. Focus on technique development and acclimatization to the limestone.
Day 4: Rest & Transfer Day
Morning cultural excursion, followed by a scenic transfer to Val Gardena. Optional light climbing in the afternoon at a local crag.
Days 5-6: Val Gardena Area Climbing
Explore the excellent sport climbing areas around Sella Pass and Val Gardena, with options for single or multi-pitch routes depending on group preferences and abilities.
Day 7: Final Climbing & Departure
Morning climbing session followed by farewell lunch and departures.
The Dolomites offer an incredible variety of sport climbing venues. Depending on weather conditions and group preferences, we may visit:
Cinque Torri: Iconic five towers with routes of all grades
Sella Towers: Classic limestone climbing with spectacular views
Piz Ciavazes: Home to both sport and traditional routes
Frea & Passo Gardena: Excellent single and multi-pitch sport climbs
Traumpfeiler: Accessible sport climbing close to our Val Gardena base
Falzarego Pass: High-altitude climbing with breathtaking panoramas
Beginners: Comfortable climbing at 5+ (5.9) indoors who want to transition to outdoor limestone
Intermediate: Leading 6a - 6c (5.10-5.11) who want to improve technique and climb classic routes
Advanced: Climbers at 7a+ (5.12+) looking to push their grade on quality limestone
All Ages: Participants typically range from 18-65 years old
The Dolomites offer excellent climbing conditions from June through September:
June: Fewer tourists, fresh conditions, occasional afternoon showers
July: Warmest temperatures, longest days, ideal for high-altitude routes
August: Peak tourist season, but reliable weather
September: Cooler temperatures, beautiful autumn colors, quieter crags
Our scheduled trips are timed to offer the best balance of good weather, optimal climbing conditions, and fewer crowds.

We provide most of the gear, but you will need to bring your own climbing shoes and harness. We have belay devices, slings, and helmets, but you might prefer to bring your own you use to. We strongly suggest bringing a down jacket, a hat, a rain jacket, a pair of comfortable approach shoes, a headlamp, a sleeping bag, and a backpack big enough for carrying lunch and gear to the crag.
Upon arrival, before you get to the place of your final destination you will need to stop in the store to shop for breakfast and lunch food for the week. There is equipped kitchen with a refrigerator in the place and close-by shops to replenish supplies.
There are plenty of restaurants and bars to have dinner. Communal dinners can be organized if required.
