Women can and do climb as hard as men. Possessing different strengths from men, as well as some physical characteristics, female climbers may require specific instructing and climbing betas. Our women only climbing courses aim to prove that raw strength isn’t everything. Here women focus on discovering what their bodies are really capable of, and how far they can get with the use of precise footwork, increased flexibility, and good mind control. Eventually developing into a stronger climber.
Daila Ojeda is known not only for her extremely difficult ascents, but also for her inspirational attitude and mindset. Although pro climbers rarely contribute their time to coaching, Daila loves giving back to the community by running women climbing courses and workshops. In collaboration with Rockbusters, she has led many great trips and helped lots of female climbers reach the next level in their climbing.
Our female rock climbing course takes place in the climbing mecca of Siurana, a quaint medieval village surrounded by a seemingly unending amount of tall, orange limestone cliffs begging to be climbed. The views are breathtaking and the climbing community unmatched. Women of all ages and abilities are welcome and our dedicated coaches Daila, Petra and Juli are here to challenge you while ensuring you enjoy every step of the journey. This unique experience provides the opportunity to build relationships, connect and climb with other awesome women rock stars that love every minute they spend on the rock.
Our top coaches will be with you every step of the way helping you to master the following:
As well as building confidence, strength and taking on some tough climbs, this is a Rockbusters course, so you can also expect a hefty dose of fun! We love what we do and that really comes across in all of our trips and programmes. And… we like to party almost as much as we like to climb, so get ready to have a blast on and off the rock. The informal, fun atmosphere of our courses is famous, but we never let this distract us from your climbing progression.
Wake up, have a relaxing breakfast, coffee in local bakery. We will meet up at 10am to discuss the plan for the day so make sure you are ready to go!
8 - 10amAll aboard! We pack and head off to the crag.
Jump on some warm up climbs and start getting your body moving. Look up for some challenges for the day and figure out the beta. Of course there is always time for some cool coaching.
11am - 2pmLunchtime! Pull out your packed lunch and relax with great views. This is also a good time to snap some photos.
Back to climbing. Using what you learned in the morning, and our individualized coaching, start nailing the projects down.
2.30 - 7pmTime to relax with a well-earned beer from one of the local climbing bars. We will re-group, discuss the highlights from the day and what the focus will be tomorrow.
Pour yourself some wine/beer and get something to eat. Who knows where the night will lead… Mañana más y mejor.
