The Performance Lab is a two-week technique and mental coaching camp designed by Rockbusters founder Jany Novotny and coached by Klemen Becan, a climber who has sent multiple 9a+ routes. It's built for one specific problem: climbers who train consistently but have stopped seeing grade improvement.
Becan's coaching isn't theoretical — it comes from someone who has actually climbed at the level most participants are trying to reach. The Performance Lab dissects your climbing from the ground up: technical inefficiencies, movement patterns wasting energy, and the mental roadblocks that show up right when a route gets hard. The combination is deliberate — Jany's training methodology paired with Becan's elite-level experience means feedback grounded in what actually works on rock at the highest level, not generic drills.
Intermediate to advanced climbers who've hit a performance plateau — training consistently but not seeing grade progress, struggling with efficiency on harder routes, or hitting mental blocks when pushing their limit. It's for climbers committed to elevating their climbing, not those looking for a casual outdoor holiday.

Coaching is built around three threads running through the two weeks: technical mastery, identifying energy-draining movement patterns and replacing them with precision technique; a mental framework for pushing boundaries while managing fear; and personalized analysis of your specific climbing weaknesses, tailored to your body mechanics and style. Past participants describe real, specific breakthroughs — one climber went from struggling with fear on 6a to climbing 7a without hesitation on falls, crediting the coaching on pacing, resting, and pushing through the pump. Accommodation is shared, in handpicked local hostels or cottages, with a private room or bungalow available on request. Fly in and out of Athens (Eleftherios Venizelos), or Barcelona (El Prat).
What level do I need to join The Performance Lab?
It's designed for intermediate to advanced climbers who've hit a plateau — training consistently without seeing grade improvement — rather than complete beginners.
What makes this different from a standard climbing course?
Klemen Becan, who has sent multiple 9a+ routes, leads the coaching, paired with Rockbusters founder Jany Novotny's training methodology — direct, battle-tested feedback rather than a generic curriculum.
Will I get individual attention, or is this a group course?
Coaching is personalized and one-on-one, with an individualized assessment of your specific movement patterns and mental blocks rather than a one-size-fits-all program.
